As part of the internship program at NPR this summer we could choose to be involved in producing an epic multimedia piece comprised of several stories, called Intern Edition. My fellow NPR intern Lindsay Sanchez made pop-music confessions for her Intern Edition piece, and I helped her out by taking the photos, using painting with light technique.

We spent an entire day running around Chicago with a Nikon D90 I had for the week, and made this video of Joey walking around the city in a box. At the least this can stand alone as a walking tour of my favorite city on this planet, an ode to Chicago. ♡

For NPR’s Intern Edition 3D, I made stereoscopic GIF portraits of everybody. This technique is called “wiggle vision.”

DC has crazy weather. I finally realize the real meaning of “sudden downpour”. Skies will break out of nowhere, and I still haven’t bought an umbrella. I like this lady’s pink one though. //

I made this commercial for NPR Music’s YouTube page, using a stereoscopic technique called “wiggle vision,”
where I took a series of photos as I very slightly shifted from left to right, then strung them all together on a loop.
